Raja Rani (Tamil: ராஜா ராணி, English: King and Queen) is a 2017 Indian-Tamil LanguageRomance soap opera airing on Star Vijay starring Sanjeev and Alya Manasa in lead roles,^[1][2] are making their Tamil-language debuts with this series. It is a remake of the Bengali language television series Ke Apon Ke Por which airs on Star Jalsha. It started airing on 29 May 2017.^[3][4] It replaced Deivam Thandha Veedu.

Plot[edit]

The plot focuses on the story of Sembaruthi (Alya Manasa) the maid of Rajasekar's family.Both Rajasekar and his wife lakshmi treat Semba as their own daughter but their daughter in law's Archana and Vadivu refuse to treat her the same way. Karthik (Sanjeev) is Rajasekar's younger son and returns to Chennai after a long time from Singapore. Download nas illmatic album free zip code. As the story proceeds the elderly daughters-in-law (Archana and Vadivukkarasi) even rajasekar's elder daughter (Nandini) were against the maid Semba and the younger son Karthik. They wanted to get the properties share to themselves not giving any shares to Karthik to receive a lump share. Karthik was a scientist in Singapore.

The daughters-in-law as well as rajasekar elder daughter were against Semba because the elderly couple love Semba very much. In twist karthik's girl friend Divya comes from Singapore to visit his family.

One day during some pooja kept for karthik, Sanjay who is the brother of second daughter in law Vadivu misbehaves with Semba. He was exposed by Karthik. And finally Karthik gives idea of Semba's marriage.

Karthik uploads Semba's profile in marriage website. There comes a groom who was targeted by Sanjay. He badmouths about Semba to them. So they return without visiting Semba. Archana was in collaboration with Sanjay and Vadivu.

Archana starts her major conspiracy by bringing groom of her distant relative who is an alcoholic addict. Though Karthik doubts Archana first later he changes his thinking. Groom Family proposes marriage within two days and rajasekar family accepts it. They all prepare in a happy mood with full swing. But in the marriage there comes a truth that the groom has his first wife who he abandoned and got his marriage fixed with Semba.

Finally marriage stopped and rajasekar is blamed by everyone for Sembas pity position. And then rajasekar decides of getting married Semba to Karthik. Karthik who in due course of marriage expresses to family that he loves divya and the family agreed for his wish. So they decided to keep engagement on Semba's marriage day. Divya went to airport to get her parents from Singapore.Here rajasekar who is in a devastated state convinces Karthik to marry Semba. AND FINALLY KARTHIK MARRIES SEMBA . Divya arrives in last moment. And she was shaken to see karthik got married to Semba. When Divya questions Karthik whether he married Semba only for saving her, Karthik remains silent so divya goes out angrily.

After divyas exit karthi expresses his position by throwing things and that time only karthik's mother realises her son was shattered. So she too become furious and goes against her husband and eventually against semba calling her as maid.The day precedes semba who don't have expectations from karthi continues her work as maid. One day lakshmi's friend comes to meet karthis wife without knowing reality and they make fun of whole family making maid as daughter in law. Humiliated lakshmi was triggered by archana and vadivu which makes lakshmi to call back divya. At the mean time rajasekar plans to conduct reception for new couple.No one supported his decision other than his brother,son in law, and youngest daughter. Their divya does drama where karthi taunts her in front of all people in reception and accepts sembaruthi as his wife.Then there is first night for karthi and semba. When they two were in room, karthi mother suffers from chest pain. Karthi panics and stays with his mother. . No one allows her to see lakshmi when she was in pain.Semba goes and sleep in room.But circumstances changes.LAKSHMI begin to like semba and even Karthik started to love her.

Even though all liked her her two sisters archana and vadivu hated her and planned to make semba get out of the house. But all the plan was failed. She tried many things but both failed in it. Even sanjay too tried but he cant. Between this both of semba and karthik's love increased. They began to love each other but they didn't say to one another.

There was a competition held there best kudumbathalaivi competition. Archana alone participated in it. She began to make semba work more to increase her beauty which made karthick angry.So Karthik made Semba to participate in the competition. After a long struggle, Semba won the Competition. One day, The trio (Archana, Vadivu and Sanjay) planned and stole the documents of Space and Military related documents of Karthik which he gave in the responsibity of Semba.Semba was guilt by the family members and Karthik.Karthik used humiliating words on Semba.Semba found the documents and revealed Sanjay was the thief.She left the house due to the humiliation. And Karthik found her later. As days goes by Karthik and Semba's relationship becomes stronger .They both began to love.Karthik proposes Semba and she accepts. In this time, Divya offered a job offer without revealing her identity.When Karthik and Semba visits the party for Karthik's job joining celebrations made by Divya,they found Divya was married to Vicky (A 65 years old rich industrialist).During Karthik was working in her company,she rejoins Karthik's house in the name of a guest and tried to change the mind of the family members to be in her guidance and tried to separate Semba and Karthik in order to attain and abduct Karthik. One day, Archana, vadivu and divya planned to make a visit to archana's parents home in order to make karthik alone in home (with a demand of Rs.50,00,000)so that Divya will have sex with Karthik to marry him. After making Karthik unconscious, she tried to have sex with Karthik.At that time Semba disclosed and revealed Divya's plan from Divya herself. After this the family arranged marriage for Vinodini with Rajasekar's friend's son Arish.Now Vadivu's father Devraj wanted his son sanjay to marry vinodini to control Rajasekhar's family.When Arish's family asked dowry,Devraj increased the dowry to stop the marriage.So Rajasekhar who is not much at present in his financial status decided to take his savings Rs.80,00,000 from his bank. When Rajashekar found his cheques were bounced, he asked the bank manager. He said that Rajashekar's elder son Amudhan had forged Rajashekar's sign and emptied his money by rummy.Then Devraj (knowing this) set trap and made his house documents to the loan giver and received Rs 50,00,000 lakhs with a simple interest of 0.2% interest per week.At the marriage, the loan giver came as per the plan of devraj and stopped the marriage in name of his weekly interest. Finally,Rajashekar sold his house to solve the debt.Arish's family members humiliated for this incident. Taking this an advantage, Archana and vadivu humiliated back and beat them. arish's mother was injured in the incident. Finally,Kathiresan, Rajashekar's friend cancelled the marriage.At last, the marriage hall manager demanded the amount for all the charges. So that all the family members except Archana and Vadivu have all their gold jewels including Semba's Mangalyam Necklace.Will the family cope up with this financial burden?Obviously yes later rajasekar family maid shanthi helps them to cope up by alotting them a house with little facilities.But archana and vadivu couldnt cope up with the facilities.

Star Vijay commonly known as Vijay TV, is an Indian pay television channel that is owned by the Star India,^[1] a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company India.^[2] The channel broadcasts from Kochar Jade, Guindy, Chennai.^[3] Their programs consists of family dramas, comedy series, reality shows, crime-based programmes and movies.

Star Vijay launched its own high-definition feed, Star Vijay HD, on 29 May 2016.^[4]

The channel was first launched by N. P. V. Ramasamy Udayar on 24 November 1994, as Golden Eagle Communication. United Breweries Group acquired the channel in 1995 and renamed as Vijay TV.^[5] The UTV Group bought the controlling interest from United Breweries Group in 1998. In 2001, Star India took over the channel and rebranded it as Star Vijay. It became the first Tamil channel to air English-language films dubbed in Tamil.^[6]

On 24 November 2016, its siblings channel Star Vijay Super was launched, which airs non-stop films and legacy television shows.

Star Vijay has programming which appeals to all audiences irrespective of their age groups or demography. The channel is well accepted as the complete family entertainer with game shows, reality show, comedy, spiritual shows, cookery, talk shows, musical shows, drama, films, and events.

Some of its shows, such as Seedhaiyin Raaman, Mahabharatham, En Kanavan En Thozhan, and Idhu Kadhala are Hindi-language productions dubbed into Tamil.
